FromSoftware has announced significant difficulty adjustments for Elden Ring: Nightreign following feedback from the recent network test. These changes aim to balance the game’s challenge, ensuring it remains demanding yet manageable for players.

  • Balanced Challenge: Game director Junya Ishizaki stated that the team has “made some adjustments to strike a balance that makes the game challenging as you progress, but still manageable” .
  • Enhanced Boss Mechanics: Bosses will now adapt during battles, requiring players to modify their strategies mid-fight. Ishizaki noted, “The same strategy won’t always work when fighting the bosses,” emphasizing the need for dynamic tactics .
  • Boss Weakness Insights: In the final version, players can identify each boss’s weaknesses before encounters. For instance, if a boss is susceptible to poison, players can seek out poison-inflicting items to gain an advantage .
